Hand & Stone Signs Multi-Unit Franchise Agreement to Bring First-Ever Locations to El Paso, Texas

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, the nation’s leading luxury massage and facial spa franchise, announced today the signing of a franchise development agreement to develop three new spas throughout El Paso, Texas. El Paso is a new market for the 500+ unit brand, based in Trevose, Pennsylvania. Hand & Stone’s El Paso development will be spearheaded by multi-unit, multi-brand franchisees Kaleb and Patricia Warnock, who were introduced to the concept during the recent Multi-Unit Franchising Conference. The couple is motivated to bring Hand & Stone’s signature health and wellness services to their own community. The Warnock’s will open their first Hand & Stone spa in El Paso in September 2022.

“Kaleb and Patricia are best-in-class operators who embody the values of our company. I’m thrilled to welcome them to the Hand & Stone franchise team. El Paso is a market we’ve been looking to develop for some time. The Warnocks’ proven success operating multiple brands in the region, and their passion for the health and wellness industry stood out as we considered candidates for the market,” said John Teza, CEO of Hand & Stone. “Hand & Stone has emerged as an industry-leading powerhouse within the spa segment, and our continued success has established the brand as the authority on massage and skincare services. This position has fueled significant interest in franchise development, from both our existing franchise owners and talented operators like the Warnocks. We look forward to our partnership with Kaleb and Patricia, and to welcoming new operators to the system that share their commitment to success.”

Kaleb Warnock is a five-year U.S. Navy veteran who also spent a decade working for government services in El Paso before taking the leap into entrepreneurship in 2016. Over the past five years, he and his wife Patricia have developed a robust franchise portfolio consisting of five Tropical Smoothie Cafes and two Marco’s Pizza locations, in addition to Patricia owning her own construction company. Both health and wellness enthusiasts, the Warnocks met with the Hand & Stone franchise team while attending the 2021 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference in Las Vegas and signed an agreement to bring the brand to their beloved community after recognizing the unparalleled value of its signature guest experience.

“When we met with Hand & Stone and learned more about the brand and its business model, we were blown away by the concept and the leadership team’s level of expertise. Hand & Stone’s investments in innovation, particularly in regard to its premium skincare services, have differentiated it from competitors and sparked our interest in opening the brand’s first spas in our community,” said Kaleb Warnock. “After building a successful food service portfolio over the past several years, we knew it was time to diversify with a new segment and are thrilled to be tapping into the thriving wellness market with the industry’s leading spa franchise concept.”

Hand & Stone continues to identify Texas as a key state for development in its ongoing growth strategy. The brand currently has over 50 Texas locations and continues to grow at a rapid pace statewide, recently opening new spas in San Antonio and communities throughout the greater Houston market, including Oak Forest and Missouri City. In addition to its upcoming debut in El Paso as part of this recent deal signing, Hand & Stone will further expand its Texas footprint with new locations slated to open in Temple, Prosper and the Summerwood neighborhood of Houston over the next few months.
